Abstract

The growing world need to have the sustainable energy is another aspect which has boosted the growth of the net-zero energy communities whose existence largely depends on the renewable sources of energy. The sporadic occurrence of renewable sources of energy like solar and wind is however very challenging towards sustainability of energy supply and effective power management. To complement this, the good coordination of the energy storage systems is necessary to match the production and consumption of energy at the community level energy networks. The research paper presents a proposed coupled solution of renewable energy and smart energy storage model that can help facilitate the net-zero energy community with intelligent energy management and optimization frameworks. The suggested framework integrates Marie system distributed renewable energy, enhanced smart storage systems, and an energy optimization algorithm, maximising energy arrangements, storage uses and load balancing. The algorithm is dynamic in terms of assigning the resources of the use of renewable energies, controlling the processes of charging and discharging storage systems, reducing the time when the external grid uses electricity. As simulation-based analysis shows, the suggested framework will have an excellent effect in terms of improving the use of renewable energy sources, energy efficiency as a whole, and decreasing the peak load profile without introducing instability to the grid. The findings demonstrate the opportunities of smart energy management and intelligent storage technologies towards managing seasonality variability of renewable energy and ensuring stable power systems on a community scale. The suggested strategy will help to create sustainable communities, resilient, and energy efficient net-zero communities, and will provide a scalable remedy to smart grid and renewable energy infrastructure needed in the future.
